Another voice for Adobe Flex and RIA Technologies
Thank you thank you! It’s good to be here. I finally got the cooler blog aggregated on MXNA. It’s been a bit slow trying to get listed, probably due to the holiday season but I’m here at last.
For those who don’t know, I’m the same guy who runs PXL Blog. The reason for this blog is 1. WordPress is much cooler than Nucleus CMS in my opinion, 2. I get to yak about other things in life than Adobe Flex, Flash, AIR, and other technologies, although you will find many code samples here.
Here are some of the better tutorials for Adobe Flex that I submitted for the Flex CookBook, and some Adobe AIR info:
- Creating a Center Registration Point in Adobe Flex
- Programmatic Button Skins in Adobe Flex
- Adobe AIR Beta 3 Descriptor File Porting
I’ve been pretty jealous of all the things WordPress lets you do and the usability compared to Nucleus CMS, which I use for PXL Blog. Since this is my first post here, let me introduce myself. I’m Dave Flatley, the same guy who writes on PXL Blog, the same guy who runs PXL Designs, LLC. In fact, the same guy who created Attest 1.0 and AirSpace. Ok enough yakking about that.
Why did I start another blog?
Pretty simple, I love WordPress and I had to give myself and excuse to play with it. So I figured I’ll keep PXL Blog more (or less) professional and mainly about PXL Designs and RIA technologies we use, projects we’re working on etc. But this blog will be mine…….MINE DAMNIT!! I can write what I want here! It’s MINE!!
Sorry…but don’t look for professionalism here. Well maybe some, but although you might pick up some useful info on the RIA world, I’d much prefer to write about other things on this blog. Things like the Wrath of Dee Snyder or Steven Hawking…. or the vast difference between the two.
